OPEN PIT TO UNDERGROUND MINING TRANSITION PROJECT – BRAZIL

REDCO took part in a conceptual study focused on converting an open pit mining operation into a combined scheme with underground mining. The work involved developing technical and infrastructure alternatives to assess the feasibility of implementing both methods in parallel, ensuring operational continuity and extraction efficiency. This analysis delivered a roadmap with strategic milestones and key information requirements to support the following engineering phases.

CAVING, ROCK MECHANICS

DRAWPOINT LAYOUT OPTIMIZATION IN UNDERGROUND OPERATION – CHILE

REDCO took part in the reassessment of one of the largest underground caving projects in the world, developing conceptual engineering and constructability analysis focused on gravity flow efficiency, reserve recovery and dilution control. The study included the review and adjustment of drawpoint layouts, proposing spacing modifications to improve rock mass stability and optimize mining recovery over the long term.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

DEVELOPMENT OF A LONG-TERM STRATEGIC VISION – CHILE

REDCO prepared a comprehensive strategic planning study aimed at redefining the business plan of an open pit mining operation. The work included the assessment of initiatives from the mine to the plant, incorporating innovative processes and an optimized mine design to overcome the limitations of the base case and project a more profitable and sustainable scenario.
