STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR A MULTI-MINE OPERATION – CHILE

REDCO developed a long-term strategic planning study for a group of iron ore operations in different valleys in northern Chile. The purpose of the work was to explore alternatives to outperform the base case, increasing production levels and extending the life of the operations.
The analysis included the incorporation of new greenfield deposits, as well as remaining in–situ resources from operating and former mines. In addition, large-scale extraction scenarios were assessed, in both open pits and massive underground mining, integrating innovative preconcentration and processing facilities to reduce the cut-off grade and obtain higher quality products.
Services:
- Multi-site strategic mine planning.
- Assessment of new greenfield deposits and remaining in–situ resources.
- Integration of preconcentration and processing facilities to optimize the value chain.
