REDCO Principal Engineer Rodrigo Báez obtains QP certification granted by Chile’s Mining Commission

The consultancy’s Principal Engineer, Rodrigo Báez, was certified as a Qualified Person (QP) by the Qualifying Commission for Competencies in Mineral Resources and Reserves (Comisión Minera), during the official ceremony held at the offices of SONAMI.

This accreditation, regulated by Law No. 20,235 and General Rule No. 294 of the Financial Market Commission, recognizes the technical competence and professional experience required to sign public reports on mineral resources and reserves, both nationally and internationally.

During the ceremony, which was also attended by authorities from SONAMI and the Ministry of Mining, the role of Competent Persons as guarantors of transparency, efficiency and reliability in the industry was highlighted. Minister Aurora Williams described this work as “a fundamental pillar for the country’s mining development”. With this recognition, Rodrigo Báez joins the group of more than 500 accredited professionals in Chile and strengthens the firm’s technical capacity to prepare and review reports under the international standards NI 43-101, JORC and SK-1300.
