REDCO IS PRESENT AT GEOMIN MINEPLANNING 2025

From June 11 to 13, REDCO took part in the ninth edition of the International Conference on Geology and Mine Planning – Geomin MinePlanning 2025, held in Santiago and organized by Gecamin with the support of the Universidad de Chile, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Universidad de Exeter (United Kingdom).

The event brought together representatives from 12 countries and more than 130 technical presentations, offering a range of discussion topics on mine planning in the region.

As a GOLD sponsor, REDCO was present with a corporate stand and contributed three plenary presentations delivered by its specialists, addressing key topics for the future of underground mining and process optimization. The presentations included:

• Trade-off of mining methods for a copper deposit, by Arnold Tadeo (Design & Planning UG);
• Key factors for operational continuity in the transition to underground mining, by José Pizarro Aránguiz (Project Engineer);
• Estimation of blasting parameters for a copper porphyry project using mine data in southern Peru, by Jarold Orna (Geologist Engineer).

Over the course of the event, the institutional delegation —made up of Rodrigo Valdés (Business Development Manager), Renán Argandoña (Mineral Resources Director), Izabela Camisassa (Country Manager REDCO Brazil), Carolina Arcos (Project Director), among other professionals— held meetings with representatives of mining companies, specialist suppliers and academic leaders, generating valuable conversations about the industry’s current challenges.
