REDCO TURNS 20 DRIVING SMARTER, SAFER AND MORE SUSTAINABLE MINING GLOBALLY

REDCO Mining Consultants is celebrating two decades of history supporting the mining industry in its most strategic decisions. Founded in Santiago in 2005, the firm has evolved from a local team of specialists into an international consultancy, with operations in Chile, Peru, Brazil and the USA, and expansion plans toward Canada and Australia.

Over these 20 years, REDCO has led more than 500 projects in more than 15 countries, supporting mining companies in the design, evaluation and optimization of their operations. Its technical approach has become a distinctive hallmark: advanced simulation, probabilistic analysis and decision-making under uncertainty, applied to real and complex challenges, in both metallic and non-metallic mining.

“We grew step by step, focusing on strengthening our technical capabilities and building long-term relationships with our clients”, says Enrique Rubio, chief executive officer of REDCO. “Today we look back on these 20 years with pride, but also with the conviction that there is still much to be done”.

Currently, about 60% of REDCO’s revenue comes from projects outside Chile. Its clients include key players in the sector such as Codelco, BHP, Anglo American, Freeport McMoRan and Antofagasta Minerals, as well as investment funds, engineering firms and regulatory authorities.

With more than 80 professionals on its team, REDCO maintains a profitable and diversified business model, covering services such as mine planning, tailings design, risk analysis, technical audits and permitting studies. Its sustained double-digit annual growth responds to a clear strategy: combining technical excellence with practical solutions that generate value across the entire mining chain.
