DEVELOPMENT OF A LONG-TERM STRATEGIC VISION – CHILE

REDCO prepared a comprehensive strategic planning study aimed at redefining the business plan of an open pit mining operation. The work included the assessment of initiatives from the mine to the plant, incorporating innovative processes and an optimized mine design to overcome the limitations of the base case and project a more profitable and sustainable scenario.

The application of operational best practices, together with the incorporation of dynamic heap leaching technologies, made it possible to increase the economic value of the project by 20% and reduce the cost per tonne by 37%. These measures were supported by a detailed implementation plan with scheduled milestones and impacts, ensuring a robust short-, medium- and long-term strategy that extends the life of the mine and generates sustainable growth opportunities.
