STRATEGIC WORKSHOP BETWEEN LAS BAMBAS AND REDCO CONSOLIDATES PROGRESS TOWARD A MODERN UNDERGROUND OPERATION AT FERROBAMBA

As part of the Ferrobamba Underground project, REDCO took part in the Integrated Stakeholder Alignment Workshop, a session led by MMG Limited Las Bambas aimed at consolidating a shared vision for the development of a modern, efficient and sustainable underground operation.
The meeting represented a key opportunity to advance the definition of strategic guidelines, identify and align relevant stakeholders, and strengthen technical exchange between the mining operation and specialized consulting teams. The activity was carried out with a multidisciplinary outlook, focused on long-term underground planning and on respect for the environment.
Ferrobamba is one of the three main deposits at Las Bambas, along with Chalcobamba and Sulfobamba. The production process begins at this unit with the extraction of the ore, which is subsequently crushed and transported via a conveyor belt to the conventional flotation circuit, where copper and molybdenum concentrate is produced.
On REDCO’s side, professionals from Peru and Chile took part. The team was made up of Víctor Arias (P&C Engineer), Jonathan Huaynate (Project Engineer), Kevin Ríos (Principal Engineer), Gerson Alfaro (Principal Engineer), Freddy Díaz (Senior Project Manager) and Ricardo Miranda (Senior Consultant), who contributed experience and technical vision to the development of the workshop.
