REDCO FEATURED IN REPORTE MINERO FOR BLASTING ESTIMATION METHODOLOGY PRESENTED AT GEOMIN MINEPLANNING 2025

During the latest edition of Geomin MinePlanning 2025, REDCO was featured by Reporte Minero for its technical contribution in presenting a methodology to estimate blasting parameters in copper porphyry projects, based on the transfer of operational data from analogous mines.
The research, presented by Jarold Orna (Geological Engineer), and carried out together with Luis Chumpitaz (Geomechanics Eng.) and Eduardo Huatuco (Supervisor), proposes an approach that integrates geotechnical models, three-dimensional vectors and regression analysis to define blasting parameters adjusted to the specific conditions of the project.
This methodology makes it possible to optimize the design for ore and waste rock, reducing the dependence on extensive field campaigns and accelerating project development with a robust technical base. REDCO expressed its appreciation for the visibility of this initiative, and highlighted its ongoing commitment to engineering that combines applied knowledge, innovation and efficient solutions for mining development.
