REDTEC PERU DELIVERS COURSE ON GEOTECHNICAL INSTRUMENTATION AND EARLY WARNING SYSTEMS FOR NEXA RESOURCES CERRO LINDO

REDTEC Peru —part of the REDCO group— delivered the specialized course Geotechnical Instrumentation and the Implementation of Early Warning Systems (TARP) aimed at the technical team of the Cerro Lindo Mining Unit, of Nexa Resources Peru. The activity was backed by REDCO professionals, in addition to the support of representatives from Nanometrics Inc., INERSIA and Geomonitoring, and was held over three days that combined theoretical sessions and a visit to the company’s Geotechnical Monitoring Center.

The program addressed key content for strengthening risk management in underground mining, with a focus on the installation, monitoring and analysis of geotechnical data applied to the operating environment. The training session sought not only to transfer technical knowledge, but also to foster a culture of prevention grounded in applied engineering criteria.

Taking part as speakers and facilitators were the specialists Claudio Hernández (Geomechanics Consultant), Jorman Barrera (Principal Engineer), Jarold Orna (Geological Engineer) and Edward Torres (Geomechanics Engineer), together with the institutional presence of the Country Manager of REDCO Peru, Eduardo Lama. Their experience was fundamental to the execution of the program and to the sustained technical exchange with the Nexa team.
