REDCO JOINS THE CANADA-PERU CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND STRENGTHENS TIES WITH ONE OF THE REGION’S LEADING MINING HUBS

REDCO Mining Consultants has formalized its membership in the Canada-Peru Chamber of Commerce, a binational organization that promotes the development of trade, investment and cooperation relations between the two countries, with a strong focus on the mining sector.
This institutional alliance adds to the recently completed affiliation with the Chilean-Canadian Chamber of Commerce, strengthening a regional strategy that seeks to connect technical capabilities, strategic vision and local presence in Latin America’s leading mining markets.
The move comes at a favorable time for the Peruvian mining sector. According to the Peru Mining Investment Guide 2025/2026, prepared by EY, the country has an active pipeline of 51 mining projects representing USD 54,600 million in investment, plus another 75 exploration projects worth USD 644 million. Peru is today one of the world’s leading producers of strategic minerals such as copper, zinc, silver and molybdenum, which are essential for the global energy transition.
Canada, meanwhile, is the largest foreign investor in mining in Peru, which makes this chamber a key platform for engaging with relevant players in the mining ecosystem, especially in the areas of exploration, technological innovation and sustainable mining.
The mining sector currently accounts for 8.5% of Peru’s GDP and 63.9% of its total exports, with copper as the leading export product. Added to this is a stable macroeconomic environment, with projected growth, low inflation and a regulatory framework favorable to investment.
