INTEGRATED MINE PLAN (LOM) OPTIMIZATION WITH NEW TECHNOLOGIES – PERU

REDCO carried out an integrated Life of Mine (LOM) study in an underground operation characterized by narrow veins and high dilution levels. The work included long-term mine planning and the incorporation of advanced technologies such as ore sorting, processing and smelting, with the aim of improving efficiency and ensuring the operational continuity of the orebody.
The application of X-ray transmission (XRT) sorting technologies made it possible to process 2,500 tonnes per day, reducing dilution from more than 30% to less than 10% and raising the plant feed grade from 18% to 32%. This approach was complemented by the optimization of the mining and caving layouts, the definition of ore pass sizing and the simulation of material handling systems. This made it possible to maximize operational efficiency, improve metallurgical recovery and consolidate a flexible and sustainable long-term production strategy.
Services:
- Implementation of an integrated Life of Mine (LOM) approach.
- Incorporation of advanced sorting technologies (ore sorting).
- Mine plan optimization and significant dilution reduction.
- Simulation and reliability analysis to ensure ramp-up and operational continuity.
